Jeff Walshe was born in Calcutta, India and migrated to Australia in 1971 and began a career in the Entertainment industry as a Drummer in Dance companies, Clubs and pubs around Sydney.

Attended the Jazz Studies program at Sydney Conservatorium in 75/76.
In the early eighties Jeff continued to Freelance with various bands and in 1983 moved to Canberra and attended the Canberra School of Music studying Electronic Music and Composition.

While at the music school Jeff also kept himself busy performing as percussionist with jazz and Funk bands ( Shoot the Tzar, DangerMice etc.) and also cofounded Stilllife and Head over Heels, both groups were circus orientated and performed at festivals and did workshops in schools.

Jeff taught electronic Music and percussion at the St. Clare's College, Canberra and built the schools Electronic Music Studio.

He composed music for Documentary " Images of China" and had some of his performances and compositions filmed by the Education Dept.

In 1987 Jeff returned to Sydney and performed with various groups including Tony Buck's L'Beato and Mic Conway.

He also had a sideline performing as a Fire Eater, Swordswallower and thrilled audiences lying on a Bed of Nails with Belly dancers on him.

From 1988 - 1992 worked with Colin Offord as percussionist in Soundsteppers, Australian Environmental Orchestra and The Great Bowing Company, touring across Australia, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Hong Kong and USA.

In 1992 Jeff formed Modern Primitives a collective of multi skilled artists, who performed mainly at corproate Functions, Festivals and Special Events in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore and throughout Australia.

Jeff also did a lot of Ads, using his skills as Swordswallower ( Vodaphone) , Bed of Nails ( Holeproof ,NZ ), Fire Eater ( Twisties, KFC and Langnese a German Ice Cream Co.)

In 1988 Jeff started a company Jeff Walshe Entertainment supplying entertainment to Functions and Special Events.
Clients include, Sydney Olympic Committee, Australian Tourism Board, David Grant Special Events, various Govt. Departments, Councils and Shopping Centres in Australia and Asia.

Jeff continues to run the business and perform and has added a Costume and Props Hire Business to his portfolio.
